Case study: Workshop for Museum Educators
Organization: Boston Museum of Science
Duration: November 2024 - Ongoing
The Museum of Science in Boston has one of the largest, most engaging groups of educators anywhere on the planet. They’ve already translated their staff’s enthusiasm for science into social media magic. But with more digital channels on the way, could they level up their staff’s content creating skills to new heights?
SEND IT created a two-day workshop fully tailored to the Museum of Science staff to do just that.
Our Strategy
-
We created a survey to share out with the full MOS team that we used to build workshop content and tailor our delivery to a diversity of learning styles that we uncovered.
-
We made the experience as customized as possible, with journals and reference material created just for these two days.
-
We used our network of social media and science communication experts to bring in several perspectives throughout the workshop.
Our Takeaways
There’s a lot of ways to approach creating video in these types of workshops. It’s easy to default to the standard of making one video “perfectly.” But we wanted to try something different.
Video is rapidly becoming the default communication tool in our lives and that means we need to be fast and authentic. So why not make more than one video, like, we don’t know… 100 VIDEOS!
