Doing work openly and with authenticity
Sierra LaDuke
Chief Strategy + Innovation Officer
-
Sierra lives with intention. That sounds kind of cold, but hear her out. In a time when so much content is shoveled in front of us by algorithms, it’s really important to build that intention muscle. She first built those muscles in journalism and media production. A path that’s led her to the belief that when we curate what we read, listen to, watch and think about, it continues our journey of finding who we are and what we care about.
She’s contributed to and led digital strategy for museums and nonprofits, while never losing an eye for the type of stories that bring the most attention. She’s also coached social media talent and is inspired by the work that brings out the best in individuals and organizations alike.
Jeff Gire
Chief Story + Revenue Officer
-
Jeff believes in the power of connection and identity. He’s helped people find the right words and content strategies as a marketer, journalist and team leader. He mixes those skills with an analytical edge gained from completing a master’s in data science and business analytics from Santa Clara University. Story, reflection, analysis all matter to him because we find identity in a lot of ways, but exploring narrative is a big one.
He also thinks that change starts when our internal monologue starts calling us things like leader, scientist, writer, and any other aspirational title we strive for. When we believe in ourselves, our ability to enact change unfolds like magic. For example, before writing this he repeated the phrase, ‘expert shortform biographer’ like one hundred times.
Maria Robles G.
Chief Community + Operations Officer
-
Curiosity is everything to Maria. Understanding anything starts with that first spark, the mix of motivation, interest, and passion that we can’t quite put into words. Her curiosity for curiosity started through interpreting museum exhibits, and has only grown now that she helps others share their work and passions. Maria’s bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Biology and master’s in Tourism Management have been interwoven into her work with cultural and knowledge organizations as she shares these wonders with others through authentic storytelling.
As the Chief Community + Operations Officer at SEND IT, she manages SEND IT’s client projects, keeps our business wheels greased with internal to-do’s, and indulges the right side of her brain by overseeing creative content. When not busy sending it, Maria is out exploring parks to tire out her seemingly-never-tiring dog, birdwatching, or reading fiction novels.
Why am I looking at a collage?
Most of the advice we give to folks boils down to the following: be yourself.
There’s no substitute for authenticity–for the individual or the organization.
So why are you looking at a collage? When we take the scraps that surround us and artfully arrange them we’re doing more than upcycling. We’re constructing a snapshot of who we are in a moment in time. Our authentic self as told by the pieces of what we’ve done that have made it into our proximity. A core sample of a life.
Look around you. Right now. Just put two things next to each other. Keep going. Now, what does your collage look like?
