Case Study: STEM Education Website Overhaul

Organization: San Jose State University’s Center for STEM Education
Duration: October 2024 - November 2024

The Silicon Valley Research Practice Partnership was at the end of a multiyear National Science Foundation grant. This group is a unique collaboration of researchers, educators, and administrators that worked with seven school districts on making improvements to math education for fourth and fifth graders.

They needed to tell the story of their impact in a way that was accessible and impactful, while also making educational resources available to educators. This meant a complete overhaul of the SVRPP web presence.

Our Strategy

  • We spoke with teachers, administrators and researchers to get a full understanding of the grant and its impact.

  • We landed on an overall headline for the project “Everybody is a Math Person” and found an illustrator to bring to life a playful and accessible aesthetic.

  • Building a microsite with a short video describing the project’s impact gave the research partnership a tool to share their impact and bring the tools to new educators.
